Allie Finkle’s Rules for Girls: New Girl, by Meg Cabot

Allie Finkle\'s Rules for GirlsAllie’s rules fill a special notebook with advice for every situation.  Some are general rules to live by – “it’s never funny if someone’s feelings are hurt,” while others such as, “if a bunch of fifth grade girls think your little brother is cute, just go along with it,” are rules that Allie has learned from personal experience.  But even with a set of guidelines, it is not easy being the new girl, especially when the biggest, scariest girl in fourth grade keeps threatening to beat you up – and you have no idea why.  Everybody has a different idea how to deal with Allie’s problem, but none seem very practical, and none of Allie’s list of rules seem to work.
